I found this video on youtube:  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i4zPHULdm9k

It is about Slic3r software and a lot of it doesn't apply to a Zortrax.  However, at about 18 minutes in he starts talking about how filament is extruded, and how the extrusion characteristics affect prints.  I found some of it kind of interesting.

When my MakerTrack printer arrives I am going to test out some of his concepts.

Actually I ordered the "small" Maker Track.  I ordered it before they had the big one.  They contacted me and stated they could upgrade mine to the larger support pieces that the 24" one has for no extra charge, I would just have to wait an extra week for delivery.

The one I ordered is only 15" x 14" x 12".

I wonder how much filament a 24 inch print could use up?
